Welcome to the La Corporation des professionnels ostéopathes du Québec (CPOQ) web site. The purpose of this web site is to give visibility to the CPOQ and to inform the population about the profession of osteopathy in Quebec. This web site can also help you find a competent osteopath in your area.
The CPOQ is an independent, non-profit organization including osteopaths from Quebec and Ontario. The CPOQ’s main goals are to:
- Inform and protect the general population;
- To defend the interests of its members;
- To represent the profession of osteopathy at the government level.
The CPOQ has, among others, a code of ethics for its osteopath members, a union committee for the protection of the public, and a committee for continuing education.
All CPOQ osteopath members are required to complete a minimum of 60 hours of continuing education every 3 years; otherwise, they can’t renew their membership.
